Every day, families face the toughest fight of their lives against breast cancer. No one should have to go through it alone — and that’s why I’m fundraising to ensure more people have access to a McGrath Breast Care Nurse here in Australia.

This cause is deeply personal to me. I’m Canadian, and my beautiful mum, Barbara, passed away in Canada in 2021 after her courageous eight-year journey with breast cancer. At the time, I was living here in Australia, which made it even harder to be away from her during those final months.

She showed unwavering strength, courage, and positivity throughout her battle, and the nurses who cared for her were a constant source of kindness and comfort for her and our whole family. Her laughter lit up every room, even on the hardest days.

Now, living in Australia, I want to honor my mum’s memory by helping other families here receive that same vital support through the McGrath Foundation. Every donation helps place more McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia, giving patients and their loved ones the care and compassion they deserve from the moment of diagnosis and throughout treatment.
