McGrath Cancer Care Nurses help individuals and their families affected by cancer by providing invaluable clinical, psychosocial, and emotional support from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment. .

We come from a small rural town in the North West corner of Victoria called Werrimull.
Over the years we have had a few of our community members been diagnosed with cancer.
A group of us have got together and come up with the idea to have a community cricket match on our rural oval to raise awareness for cancer. This idea over the last few weeks has grown as we discussed the possibilities each week.
From a community cricket match raising cancer awareness to a fundraising day where all money raised would be donated to a cancer foundation. Lots of discussion has been had around the table and lots of ideas have been brought up.
We have decided to have a 20/20 Cricket match.
We are calling it “Big Bush Bash”.
The "BIG BUSH BASH" will be held at the old Werrimull Oval (Signage will be up on the day)
On the 10th of October 2026.
Entry will be a donation and all funds raised will be going to the McGrath Foundation to help them continue the great work they do!
So grab your mates and your deck chair and come along!
STRICTLY NO BYO.... please remember that this is a fundraising event where all profits are donated to the McGrath Foundation. Food and drinks will be available for sale at the event.
