WPS Pink Stumps Day & Dad's Drinks 2026

Pink is the colour of care

At Warracknabeal Primary School, we're proud to be fundraising for the McGrath Foundation because we believe no one should face cancer alone.

The McGrath Foundation funds McGrath Cancer Care Nurses who provide free clinical, emotional and practical support to people experiencing cancer, as well as their families, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.

Cancer has touched the lives of so many Australians. Chances are, we all know someone who is currently fighting cancer, has survived cancer, or has lost a loved one to this disease. Today, we acknowledge every member of our community whose life has been affected.

We are incredibly fortunate to be part of such a caring and supportive community. If you or someone you know is doing it tough, please don't be afraid to lean on those around you and seek the support you need.

Whether you make a donation, wear pink, cheer on our cricket match or simply join us for a coffee, every contribution helps ensure more Australians have access to the care of a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse.

Thank you for supporting our students, our school and this incredible cause.

Fundraiser details

Date: 07/08/2026 - 11/09/2026

To celebrate Father's Day, our school is combining our annual Dad's Drinks afternoon with Pink Stumps Day to bring our community together while raising money for the McGrath Foundation.

Students and staff will wear pink to show their support, and during the day we'll hold a fun Kids vs Staff & Dads Cricket Match. At the end of the school day, families are invited to join us for Dad's Drinks, where every student will receive a coffee voucher to share with their dad or another special person in their life, thanks to our local coffee van. We'll also be running additional fundraising activities throughout the event.

It's a wonderful way to celebrate Father's Day, spend time together as a school community, and raise vital funds to support the McGrath Foundation and the incredible work they do for individuals and families experiencing breast cancer.

McGrath Cancer Care Nurses provide expert care and support to people and their families experiencing any type of cancer for free right across Australia.
