10 years, 10km, 10th October, a run for Pookie Bell
On 10 October, I'll be running 10km at Run Melbourne to mark 10 years since my mum, Pookie Bell, passed away from breast cancer.
A decade on, I still miss her every day. This run is my way of honouring her and turning that love into something that helps others facing the same diagnosis.
I'm raising money for the McGrath Foundation, which funds McGrath Breast Care Nurses who provide free support to people and families experiencing breast cancer. Every dollar helps someone have a little more care and a little less fear on a very hard journey.
