ATEC to ‘Pink up Meeting Place’ for breast cancer awareness month
Once again, the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) is recognising the huge contribution of women to Australia’s tourism industry success and the prevalence of breast cancer in the community, ATEC are getting behind Breast Cancer Awareness month with our ‘Pink up Meeting Place’ campaign.In support of the work of the McGrath Foundation, ATEC are helping to raise funds for Breast Care Nurses across the country who help individuals and their families affected by breast cancer in providing physical, psychological, and emotional support from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment.
ATEC is asking Meeting Place attendees to ‘Pink up Tourism’ by dressing with a touch of pink on Tuesday 31 October and encouraging people to get involved by making a small donation.
ATEC is aiming to show support and honour the experience of all of the wonderful women within our work, family and friend networks who have been through or are going through treatment.
We look forward to seeing our industry friends joining us to ‘Pink up Tourism’ and urge people to support the McGrath Foundation in their important work throughout the month of October at Meeting Place 2023.
Pink is the colour of care
ATEC supports Breast Cancer Awareness month, by helping to raise much needed funds for the McGrath Breast Care Nurses. With so many women working in Tourism, ATEC is encouraging the industry to 'Pink Up' and get behind a worthy cause.
McGrath Breast Care Nurses help individuals and their families affected by breast cancer by providing invaluable physical, psychological, and emotional support from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment.
Supporting ATEC to raise funds for this great cause is easy and you can help the McGrath Foundation reach their goal of 250 nurses by 2025, to work towards ensuring no one misses out on care.
