Pink is the colour of care
This year, I am raising funds for the McGrath Foundation by shaving my head. This is a cause that holds deep personal significance for me. Many of you know that my mother-in-law passed away from cancer earlier this year after a 9 month battle. The support we received from the McGrath nurse was truly invaluable. Tracey, our nurse, was by our side from the moment of diagnosis, offering guidance and compassion, and she was there with us on the day my mother-in-law passed away, providing comfort during an incredibly difficult time.
McGrath Cancer Care Nurses are a lifeline for individuals and families affected by cancer, offering essential clinical expertise, as well as psychosocial and emotional support throughout the entire journey, from diagnosis through treatment. Experiencing firsthand the impact cancer can have on a loved one has motivated me to ensure that no one should face this challenge alone. I believe that every person deserves the care and support of a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse.
