Through this partnership, all funds raised through our sponsorship program go directly to the McGrath Foundation. These efforts have raised an incredible $842,325.49 to date.

Dan & Kelly
When Dan was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2024, his family suddenly found themselves navigating a complex medical system with no single point of contact. As appointments, treatments and specialist advice quickly piled up, Dan and his wife Simone were left trying to coordinate everything themselves while supporting their two teenage daughters.
After months of treatment, Dan's cancer returned, this time spreading to his liver. Around the same time, the McGrath Foundation expanded its support to people affected by all cancers. That is when Dan met his McGrath Cancer Care Nurse, Kelly Baxter.
Kelly became the family's trusted guide, helping coordinate Dan's care, providing expert clinical advice and offering emotional support to the entire family. She also helped Simone navigate difficult conversations with their children and connected Dan with support for his mental health during treatment.
Reflecting on Kelly's impact, Dan says:
"The difference in care was honestly incredible. I don't know how to describe it. It's life changing."
Today, Dan continues his treatment with the confidence of knowing he has an experienced advocate by his side. His family's story highlights the incredible difference a McGrath Cancer Care Nurse can make, providing clarity, compassion and hope during one of life's most challenging journeys.

Angelique & Sam
At just 24 years old, Angelique's life changed overnight when she discovered a lump during a routine self check. Within weeks, she was facing a breast cancer diagnosis, urgent fertility decisions, chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy, challenges few people her age ever expect to face.
Throughout her treatment, Angelique was supported by her partner, family and, most importantly, her McGrath Cancer Care Nurse, Sam Moules. Sam became a constant source of reassurance, providing both clinical expertise and emotional support during every stage of Angelique's journey. Whether answering medical questions, coordinating care or simply being there to listen, Sam helped Angelique feel understood, informed and never alone.
Reflecting on her experience, Angelique says:
"Sam was my first point of contact for everything. She was my soundboard, always available when I needed her. She made me feel so at ease and always validated how I was feeling."
Today, Angelique is rebuilding her life and using her experience to help raise awareness for others facing cancer. Her story is a powerful reminder of the life changing impact McGrath Cancer Care Nurses have on individuals and families across Australia.
