Pink is the colour of care
In June 2026, our beautiful Mum, Paula Hunt, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer that had spread to her lymph nodes. It was a diagnosis that changed our world in an instant.
Since then, she has faced countless tests, a mastectomy, and is now preparing for five months of chemotherapy, followed by radiation. Through every challenge and uncertainty, she has shown incredible courage, resilience, and strength.
This October, we will be taking on the Huskisson Half Marathon 21.1km and 10 km in her honour, with our friends joining us for the cause. Every kilometre we run is for Mum, and for every individual and family whose lives have been affected by breast cancer.
We’re fundraising for the McGrath Foundation because no one should have to face breast cancer alone. McGrath Breast Care Nurses provide free, expert care, clinical guidance, and compassionate support from the moment of diagnosis, throughout treatment, and beyond. Their goal is to ensure that everyone experiencing breast cancer has access to a McGrath Breast Care Nurse.
