Pink is the colour of care
I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer on the 22nd January, the following day I was seeing a surgeon and being booked for breast surgery in two weeks time, then it was silence, I felt alone and confused, my immediate thought was to reach out to the McGrath foundation.
Straight away my call was answered and I seen a breast care nurse the same day, she reassured me and gave me the information I needed to cope.
My own mother died from cancer aged 57, I am 50, I can not help think how hard it must of been for her not having the support, my hope is that all cancer patients have this service and families don't get lost in a system that's hard to navigate.
Celebrating a year in business, must mean something more, so I want to help raise awareness to this amazing service, I am starting my treatment on Tuesday the 24th March and know I will be supported by my breast care nurse
