I'm fundraising to help fund more McGrath Cancer Care Nurses, because care for all takes a nation.
Every day, 450 people in Australia are diagnosed with cancer. Behind every diagnosis is a person, a family and a community whose lives are changed in an instant.
McGrath Cancer Care Nurses provide free clinical, emotional and psychosocial support to people with any type of cancer and their families. By supporting my fundraiser, you're helping fund more nurses and making sure more people can access the care they need, when they need it most.

Together in Pink. Empowered by Hope.
This year, The Self-Care Co., our skin and wellness clinic in rural Bourke, NSW, is bringing our community together for a special Breast Cancer Awareness campaign and Pink Party.
This cause is incredibly close to my heart. This October marks 30 years since I lost my beautiful sister, Leeanne, to breast cancer at only 33 years of age.
Leeanne was diagnosed at just 26 and left behind three beautiful young children aged seven, six and three. Breast cancer has continued to affect our family, with my mum and aunties also facing the disease.
For more than 25 years, my mum and I have fundraised for breast cancer support and research, helping to raise more than $240,000. This year, The Self-Care Co. is proud to continue that legacy by bringing our community together to remember, celebrate and create hope.
Throughout October, we are encouraging businesses, schools, workplaces and community organisations across Bourke and surrounding districts to turn pink, raise awareness and hold their own pink-themed activities.
Our campaign will finish with a very special Community Pink Day and Pink Party on Thursday, 12 November 2026.
The Pink Party will be an evening filled with connection, cocktails, nibbles, music, inspiring guest speakers, raffles, giveaways, gift bags and a fun pink fancy-dress activity.
This event is about:
* Honouring the beautiful lives of those we have lost
* Supporting those currently facing breast cancer
* Celebrating survivors and their incredible strength
* Recognising how far breast cancer research and treatment have come
* Thanking the nurses, carers and organisations supporting rural families
* Raising vital funds for the McGrath Foundation
Funds raised through our campaign will be donated to the McGrath Foundation, helping provide free specialist breast cancer nursing care to patients and their families. This includes important support available through the Western Cancer Centre in Dubbo for people travelling from rural and remote communities like ours.
We are also incredibly grateful for the care and assistance provided by Macquarie Home Stay, the Pink Ladies in Dubbo and our local Blue Robinson Foundation. Their kindness, generosity and practical support can make an enormous difference to patients and families throughout their cancer journey.
Distance should never prevent someone from receiving compassionate care or feeling supported.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will help us support this important cause and show people affected by breast cancer that they are not alone.
